Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using the Oasis mobile application (“App”) operated by Payless Energy Limited (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid identification document to register for and use the Oasis platform. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

2. Account Registration

You register using your mobile phone number and an OTP (one-time password) sent via SMS. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at support@oasisgroup.co.tz if you suspect unauthorised use.

You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date profile information. We reserve the right to suspend accounts found to contain false information.

3. Wallet & Payments

The Oasis App includes a digital wallet used to pay for battery swap services. You may top up your wallet via supported mobile money channels. All top-up transactions are subject to the fees and availability of the third-party payment gateway.

• Wallet balances are non-transferable to other users unless an explicit transfer feature is enabled.
• We do not offer cash refunds for wallet balances except as required by Tanzanian consumer law.
• In the event of suspected fraud or abuse, we reserve the right to freeze or reverse wallet transactions pending investigation.

4. Battery Swap Services

The App allows you to scan a QR code at an Oasis station to initiate a battery swap. By initiating a swap, you agree to:

• Return the battery in the same or better condition than received.
• Use the battery solely on compatible Oasis e-bikes.
• Report any fault or damage to the battery or station immediately via the in-app support feature.

Charges for each swap are deducted from your wallet at the rate displayed in the App at the time of the transaction. Rates may change with prior notice published in the App.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or tamper with the App or any connected hardware.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or tools to access the App.
• Misuse the support system or submit false reports.
• Share your account credentials with any other person.

Violation of acceptable use may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and software within the App are the property of Payless Energy Limited or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App solely for personal, non-commercial purposes in connection with battery swap services.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App or its services. Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain continuous availability of the App and station network but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, hardware faults, or circumstances beyond our control may cause temporary downtime. We will endeavour to notify users of planned outages in advance.

9. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile section of the App. Upon deletion, your personal data will be anonymised in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Any remaining wallet balance is subject to the refund policy described in Section 3.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The updated date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we will notify you via in-app message.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tanzania.
